Colorado! Yay! We had a great time! The visit was filled with good food, great drinks, beautiful weather, and very active screaming 19 month olds. Emmitt was in awe of his cousins. His biggest cousin Holden was a bit jealous and took away every toy and his smallest cousin Killian was sweet, immitating Emmitt crawling and bringing him toys. Emmitt did pretty well on the plane ride, although he wasn't sure how to take a nap and thrashed around like a dying animal until he finally gave into sleep and crashed on my lap. Now, Emmitt is a full blown crawler. He has perfected his moves and if you are not watching he will speed crawl right into what ever room he shouldn't be in (Mostly the bathroom and laundry room). Emmitt is also obsessed with paper. He wants to eat ALL paper products including (but not limited to) board books, boxes, kleenex, paper towels, cook books, newspaper, and Netflix DVD covers. He must be watched at all times because before you know it he has ingested something he is not supposed to. He is also using his 2 new top teeth to work on the paper products. Just over the past week 2 new teeth emerged. He seems to be more bothered by these top teeth than his 2 bottom, but is still a pretty mellow sweet guy. Life is good with sweet Emmitt. He is a beautiful and relaxed 8 month old baby boy, well on his way to toddler hood.

Ok Jo, I know you can't stand babies in skulls, but you have to admit he looks REALLY cute!
torturing Percy. Since being on the move Emmitt has found an even deeper love for Percy. Percy does not appreciate having chunks of his fur removed daily by Emmitt or being chased around the house. Poor Percy!
Ok, sometimes I have to take a picture with ME in it!

A baby that can hold his own bottle
OK he is still some baby!
Doesn't he look like a little boy now? Instead of a baby?
Fun with the baby gate!
He crawls! Wow! Life is different with a baby on the move. Emmitt started crawling 2 weeks ago and within days he had perfected his moves. He now moves around the house with ferver and can pull himself up on EVERYTHING. He learned that at the same time. I swear he will be walking in a couple of months because he loves to stand and balance. Sometimes I wonder if he was really a month overdue because he seems to be ahead of the game. Sometimes I wish he would slow down and enjoy babyhood a little longer. Never the less he is amazing and a ton of fun. He is enjoying his abilities and can be happy knowing when he wants to touch or eat something he just has to beat me to it. He is now 7 1/2 months old...going on 1 1/2. What a sweetie!
